IMG Models Agency in New York, London, and Berlin. Waridi started her journey in fashion as a model in New York, which was the beginning of her incredible journey in the fashion industry.
FOUNDER | 2006 – 2009
Waridi-Wardah initiated i-magine e.V. in 2006 to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among children and teenagers in Germany. By leveraging fashion as a powerful tool for communication, she collaborated with the renowned Esmod Fashion School Berlin-Munich, working alongside first-year students.
FOUNDER | 2009 – 2012
In 2009, Waridi launched her luxury leather handbag brand, Wanawake. As her creative ideas and expressions expanded, she embarked on the journey to explore the other side of the continent, taking the next step in her fashion ventures.
2015, 2019
Waridi played a pivotal role in the production and concept design of the Tribal Chic fashion show. This annual charity event occurs at Nairobi’s prestigious 5-star boutique hotel, Tribe, showcasing exquisite fashion creations.
INITIATOR | 2008
Waridi initiated the ‘Collection of Hope’ project. The project was created as part of a workshop by second-year ESMOD Berlin and ESMOD Munich fashion school students.
The students developed individual collections by respecting (the idea of) sustainability and fair trade.
